Kinesiology Taping
Today, taping is accepted as a treatment approach used by physiotherapists to support function, prevent injuries, protect injured tissue during prophylaxis or treatment, and prevent secondary injuries by supporting soft tissues. However, it should never be forgotten that it cannot be applied as a stand-alone treatment and should not be considered as a physiotherapy and rehabilitation program.
Some purposes of kinesiology taping:
* Reduce pain
* Increasing joint stability
* Increasing the athlete's confidence
* Reducing injury recurrence
* Prevent injury
* Reduce strain on injured or vulnerable tissues
* It serves many purposes such as providing compression to the presence of edema or lymphatic drainage.
